This policy describes how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you visit kartcommerce.com or make a purchase, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

What data we collect

  • Data you provide to us: first name and surname, shipping and billing address, email, telephone number, tax details for invoicing, the content of the messages you send us (contact form, quote requests for the workshop, chat).
  • Order data: products purchased, amounts, chosen payment method. Card details are handled directly by the payment providers: we do not see or store them.
  • Account data: if you create an account, your order history and saved addresses.
  • Browsing data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referral source, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookie Policy).
  • Newsletter: email address, if you subscribe.

Why we use your data and legal basis

  • Managing orders, payments, shipping, returns and warranty – performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Responding to your requests for information or quotes – pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Complying with tax and accounting obligations – legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Sending you our newsletter – consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time via the link in every email.
  • Protecting the website, preventing fraud and improving our service – legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Statistics and non-technical cookies – consent given via the cookie banner.

Who we share data with

Data is processed by us and by providers who help us run the shop, acting as data processors or as independent data controllers:

  • Shopify (Shopify International Limited, Ireland): online shop platform, hosting, Shopify Inbox chat and email.
  • Payment providers: Shopify Payments (service provided through Stripe), PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. and, if you choose them, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay.
  • Couriers for the delivery of orders.
  • Tax advisers and authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Transfers of data outside the EU

Some providers (for example Shopify and the payment providers) may also process data outside the European Union, in particular in Canada and the United States. In such cases, the transfer is based on adequacy decisions of the European Commission (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or on Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

  • Order data and tax documents: 10 years, as required by law.
  • Customer account: until you ask us to delete it.
  • Contact and quote requests: up to 24 months from the last contact.
  • Newsletter: until you withdraw your consent.
  • Cookies: for the durations stated in the Cookie Policy.

Your rights

At any time you can request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, object to processing and withdraw your consent, by writing to info@kartcommerce.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority – Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of your country.

Minors

The website is not intended for children under 14. Purchases for underage drivers must be made by a parent or legal guardian.

Security

The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS) and we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure.

Changes

We may update this policy, for example following changes to our services or to the law. The version in force is always the one published on this page, together with the date of the last update.
